Your Highlights of Kenya Safari and Tanzania Adventure Itinerary is as follows:

*DAY 01: Saturday - USA/AMSTERDAM
Depart on NW/KLM to Amsterdam.

*DAY 02: Sunday   - AMSTERDAM/NAIROBI
Arrive Amsterdam and connect with KLM flight #565 to Nairobi, Kenya at 10:15 AM. Arrive at 7:10 PM and transfer to the Nairobi Hilton Hotel.  Overnight: Nairobi Hilton Hotel

*DAY 03: Monday - NAIROBI
Day at leisure to relax and shop. Safari briefing (timing to be reconfirmed the previous evening)
Overnight: Nairobi Hilton Hotel (B)

*OPTIONAL DAY 03 (Kenya Explorer)  Monday - NAIROBI - SAMBURU
After breakfast, depart for Samburu Game Reserve. Lunch followed by afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge.

After Breakfast, enjoy an additional short game drive before departing for Abedare Country Club. Itinerary picks up with Day 4. see below.

*DAY 04: Tuesday - NAIROBI/ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive through rich, green scenery to the Aberdare Country Club, arriving in time for lunch. The Aberdare Country Club serves as a base lodge to the Ark and lunch is served overlooking the Club's lush grounds. Afterwards transfer to The Ark, Kenya's "Ship of the Forest", located in the heart of Aberdare National Park, overlooking a waterhole teeming with wildlife...elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, forest hog and sometimes the shy bongos emerge from the misty forest to drink at the waterhole. Enjoy afternoon and evening game viewing at the floodlit water hole. The Ark features two viewing galleries, an 'open deck' and a ground level bunker. When the animals appear, the guests are alerted by means of a buzzer in their cabins. Dinner and Overnight: The Ark (B,L,D)

*DAY 05: Wednesday - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK After breakfast, depart with a game drive en-route. Descend the 2000 foot escarpment into the Great Rift Valley and onto Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is a fresh water lake that supports a huge population of flamingos, pelicans and storks. Recent sightings of this spectacular migration of flamingoes have broken many records.
In addition, a rhino sanctuary for the endangered black rhino has been established here. Enjoy lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge and a scenic afternoon game viewing drive around the lake where herds of waterbuck and impala can also be seen. Dinner and Overnight: Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge (B,L,D)

*DAY 06: Thursday - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE Depart this morning for the scenic drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The topography changes as you enter the vast grassy plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve - the jewel of Kenya's game parks, located in the northern section of the great Serengeti Plains. This is home of the "Big Five" ... elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino, as well as thousands of the greater and lesser plains game. Everything seems to be magnified here.
Arrive at the Mara Simba Lodge in time for lunch, a swim in the pool and opportunities to photograph the endless plains that stretch for as far as the eye can see. Your lodge is set high on a saddle overlooking the rolling grasslands and distant mountains of the Reserve. After lunch, set out on your first game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. All Meals and Overnight: Mara Simba Lodge (B,L,D)

*DAY 07: Friday - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE Enjoy a full day in the Mara with all meals and early morning and afternoon game viewing drives. It is not uncommon here to encounter a pride of as many as 30 lions dominated by magnificent, black-manned males, or to come upon a huge gather of hippo, lazing away the day in the Mara River. *DAY 08: Saturday - MASAI MARA/NAIROBI Return to Nairobi. Remainder of Day at Leisure.  Transfer for Dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant for an experience you won't forget.
Overnight: Nairobi Hilton (B,L,D)

*DAY 09: Sunday - NAIROBI / ARUSHA / TARANGIRE
After Breakfast transfer from the Nairobi Hilton To Arusha by Riverside shuttle service via the Namanga border (complete Immigration and Customs formalities). Drop off at Hotel 77 where you will be met by KUDU Safaris. Lunch at the Arusha Hotel. Commence Tanzania safari arrangements with KUDU Safaris. Depart for Tarangire with a game drive en route. 
Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa

*DAY 10: Monday - TARANGIRE / SERENGETI
After breakfast  depart for the Serengeti with game drive en-route through
Tarangire. Stop for lunch at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and then continue on to Serengeti. Game drive en-route accross Serengeti Plains.
Dinner and overnight: Serengeti Sopa Lodge. (B,L,D)

*DAY 13: Thursday - NGOROGORO
After breakfast a full day explore the Crater., one of the natural wonders of the World, with a picnic lunch .
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. (B,L,D)

*DAY 14: Friday - ARUSHA / NAIROBI
Depart after breakfast for Arusha arriving around noon. Lunch at the Arusha Hotel. Transfer by Riverside shuttle service to Nairobi via the Namanga Border (complete Immigration and Customs formalities). Drop off at 7:00 PM directly at Nairobi Airport for departure flight on KLM Flight # 566 at 10:00 PM to Amsterdam. (B, L)

Optional Extension:
For those of you wanting to relax another day before flying home, we offer an additional overnight at the Nairobi Hilton on Friday night including breakfast. Your international flights would depart on Saturday and arrive in the US on Sunday.  Extension available at $75 per person based on double occupancy or $140 based on single occupancy.
 
*DAY 15: Saturday - AMSTERDAM / USA
 Arrive Amsterdam at 6:10 AM and connect onto the NW/KLM flight to your US gateway.

Rhino Safaris is the land operator used in Kenya and Kudu Safaris is the land operator in Tanzania.

In Kenya, we use a 7 seater mini-bus on the entire journey through Kenya and in Tanzania, a 7 seater 4 WD Landcruise.  A pop-up hatch is raised during the game drives for unobstructed views of the animals and terrain.  Your qualified english speaking driver will ensure that your safari adventure is the most memorable trip of a lifetime.

Please note that you depart the USA on a Saturday and arrive home on a Saturday making this a 14 night/15 Day Itinerary.

Your return flight from Nairobi is booked on the Friday evening (13th night) and arriving back in the USA after your overnight flight on Saturday.
