Ports of Call

New York, New York
New York City is arguably the premier city in the world. If it's worth doing, knowing, seeing or trying, you'll find it in New York. The world's capital of finance, fashion, publishing and theater has anything and everything you could want: fantastic sightseeing, fabulous restaurants, incredible shopping and Broadway shows. Visit the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and the Empire State Building. You'll awe at her world-famous skyline; there's no other city like it.

Samana, Dominican Republic
The largest city on the peninsula, located approximately 100 miles east of Puerto Plata, is called Santa B?rbara de Saman?, or Samana, for short, and is a port town that overlooks the country's largest bay, Bahia de Samana. The majority of Samana's visitors come for the amazing Humback whale-watching excursions. Other excursions in Samana include walking the Bridge To Nowhere; a visit to Cayo Levantado , or 'Bacardi Island' - the island used in the famous 1970's Bacardi rum commercials; or to Playa Rinc?n, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

St. Thomas, USVI
Not all of St. Thomas' treasures are buried. Most of them are right in the open on this gorgeous island, home of the infamous Bluebeard's Tower. Whether looking for jewels, crystal, perfume and fine wines in the shops of Charlotte Amalie, or soaking up the sun on the incredible beaches, you'll marvel at the wealth of history on this treasure-filled paradise.

St. John's, Antigua
Some people seek to climb every 14,000-foot peak in North America. Others spend years hiking the Appalachian Trail. Well, St. John's offers a different type of challenge - one that can test the limits of beach towels and sunblock like few can. With 365 beaches to explore, you will need to pace yourself. Rest assured that each beach is as beautiful and captivating as the last.

Bridgetown, Barbados
In British Barbados, cricket is the national sport and afternoon tea goes without saying, but it's true blue Caribbean as well, with classic sand beaches, hills carpeted in sugar cane and wild vervet monkeys in the jungle.

St. Lucia
Lush green hills, black sand beaches, tranquil blue lagoons and pink melting sunsets. This rainbow of colors can only be found on the unspoiled tropical retreat that is St. Lucia. Visitors are always awed by the array of hues offered by nature. Of course, there's equal grandeur in its magnificent coastline and famous twin mountains known as the Pitons.

Basseterre, St. Kitts
A tropical climate tempered by Caribbean breezes prevails on St Kitts and her sister island, Nevis. From Basseterre, it's easy to explore old sugar plantations and Brimstone Fortress - the Gibraltar of the West Indies. Snorkeling and an ATV ride on the slopes of Mount Liamuiga are fun for the more adventurous.

Tortola, BVI
Sail across the channel on yachts destined for Norman, Cooper, Salt or Pepper Islands. Here you can swim and snorkel into underwater caves and among colorful coral reefs. A scenic island tour takes you up Fort Hill to Cane Garden Bay where you can relax on spectacular white-sand beaches. Enjoy the tales of this historic waterway as you retrace the paths of Christopher Columbus and Sir Frances Drake.

Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas
Norwegian Cruise Line was the first to offer an uninhabited tropical island experience exclusively for its passengers. Great Stirrup Cay is an unspoiled paradise of white sand beaches, majestic coconut palms and calm pristine waters where an abundance of colorful marine life inhabits the surrounding coral reefs. It is home to lizards, seagulls, neon-colored fish and... a few very fortunate guests of NCL. Here you can snooze in a hammock under a shady palm tree or learn to snorkel in a peaceful cove where tropical fish weave around equally colorful coral and sea fans. You can dance the limbo and enjoy a beachside barbecue, or circle the island in a kayak or sailboat. This is the life on NCL's Great Stirrup Cay.

Miami, Florida
Miami is an international mecca with a colorful skyline and trend-setting culture. Claiming its place as a truly international city, you can feel Miami vibrate with the energies of different cultures coming together to revel in the beautiful ocean scenery and near-perfect tropical weather. Whether you're taking in the sights at a South Beach cafe), browsing the open-air shops of Bayside Marketplace or enjoying "un cortadito" in Little Havana, Miami is a melting pot for virtually anyone.
