This is a Bid Per Person Auction. Bid for the price you are willing to pay for a single person. When you win, you may request up to 8 people to travel at your per person winning price each. For example, if you win this auction for $50, then up to 8 people may travel for $50 each! At least 2 people must travel.

Depart via the services of United Airlines from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, OR (or for an additional cost from many other U.S. departure cities at additional costs - see below for details) to

Your 7 Day Beijing Tour itinerary is as follows:

Day 1 - USA to BEIJING
Look forward to the adventures ahead as you fly transpacific aboard United Airlines' wide-cabin 747 jetliner.

Day 2 - BEIJING
Welcome to the capital of China, where you're greeted and escorted to your selected hotel:
Superior First Class:  Gloria Plaza Hotel
Superior First Class:  Jinglun Hotel For an additional +$50.00 per person per package.
Deluxe 5-Star:  Peninsula Palace Hotel For an additional +$450.00 per person per package.

Departure dates marked with an asterisk (*) are for hotel stays at the Gloria Plaza Hotel only.
Unmarked departure dates are for hotel stays at the Jinglun Hotel or Peninsula Palace Hotel only.
Departure dates in bold are for hotel stays at all hotels (based on availability).

Day 3 - BEIJING
Today, sightsee Beijing: imposing Tian An Men Square, and the Forbidden City's treasure-filled Imperial Palace, with admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections.
MEALS INCLUDED: American Breakfast, Lunch


Day 4 - BEIJING
On a daylong excursion, thrill at the opportunity to walk atop the awesome Great Wall. After lunch, stroll along the statue-lined Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.

Day 5 - BEIJING
Day is free to explore Beijing on your own. Perhaps, arrange an optional excursion (at an additional cost) to sightsee Chairman Mao's Mausoleum, Tibetan Lama Temple and beautiful Bei Hai Park.

Hutong Half-Day Tour Including Lunch
For an additional +$45.00 per person

This tour takes you back to the old days of Beijing. Hutong is the Chinese name for the ancient city alleys and narrow lanes originally built in the Yuan Dynasty, where neighborhoods are made up of traditional courtyard-style homes. Ride in an old-fashioned pedicab through the Hutong district during this guided tour. Transfers and lunch are included.

Tibetan Lamasery, Temple of Heaven and Beijing Opera School or Kung Fu School (includes lunch)
For an additional +$65.00 per person

Now a residence for Tibetan and Mongolian monks, Yonghe Lamasery is a famous 17th century Buddhist temple with a 75-foot high sandalwood Buddha. The Temple of Heaven is one of Beijing's most extraordinary monuments and includes the Altar of Heaven, the Imperial Heavenly Vault and the spectacular Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, whose intricate interior was constructed without use of a single nail. Gain insight into traditional Chinese arts with a visit to the Beijing Opera School or Kung Fu School. Guided tour includes transfers and lunch.

 Beijing Duck Dinner and Acrobatic Show
For an additional +$55.00 per person

Sample the most famous cuisine in Beijing. Slices of roast duck with crispy skin are served with scallions and special soybean sauce, then wrapped in wafer-thin pancakes, for a delicious traditional meal. Justly famed around the world, Chinese acrobats are sure to delight with their astonishing skill and amazing feats. Transfers included.

Beijing Opera
For an additional +$65.00 per person.

Beijing Opera is the most popular and influential opera in China with a history of over 200 years. It is a refined art with traditional stories chronicled with a fantastic combination of stylized action, singing, musical dialogues, martial arts and imperial costumes. Transfers included.

The Legend of Kung Fu
For an additional +$25.00 per person
 
An entertaining and lively performance relates the tale of an adventurous young monk seeking enlightenment. A classic legend of spiritual growth, the theme is universal and the performance a colorful extravaganza of lights, dance and amazing Kung Fu feats. Transfers included.

Day 6 - BEIJING
Today, you may choose to join our optional Hutong tour (For an additional $45.00 per person....See above for details). You will be carried by pedicab through Hutong's ancient narrow streets, then visit a courtyard-style family residence. Admire the panoramic view of the city from atop the Drum Tower Pagoda.

Day 7 - BEIJING to USA
Pack your last souvenirs before boarding a 747 jetliner. MEALS: American Breakfast.

Single Supplement: Accommodations are based on double occupancy and a minimum of 2 people must travel. A single supplement of $375.00 additional is available for those staying solo (in parties of 3 or more people) and staying in Superior First Class Accommodations. Guests upgrading to the Deluxe Hotel have a single supplement of $695 additional per person for those staying solo (in parties of 3 or more people).

Air Tax, Fuel surcharges & service charges of $370.00 additional.
