ARENAL & MONTEVERDE RAINFOREST DISCOVERY!

Depart anytime thru November 14, 2008 on your Ecotourism Adventure package and enjoy Eco destinations in Costa Rica: Arenal & Monteverde.

DAY 1 – Arrival in San Jose Airport (SJO). Transfer to San Jose rental car office where your 4 x 4 will be waiting for you and you will be on your way to Arenal (Driving direction, click here), only 2 hours drive on a beautiful road through San Lorenzo Cloud Forest. Check in at your 4**** Resort. Your room feature private terrace & parking space. The view is stunning, looking straight at Arenal Volcano from your rocking chair, one king (to be requested upon reservation) or two queen size beds and/or Handicap room (6 rooms have been especially designed for handicapped people), air conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, refrigerator, telephone, security box, private bathroom, hair dryer, and lush tropical gardens. The resort offers 24 hours security, a swimming pool for adults, one for children, wet bar, restaurant, souvenir store, laundry service, Internet service, private transportation, trails, Massage & spas center with professional staff and VSD (Vacation Super Deals) Guide on site!

DAY 2 – Arenal - Cano Negro National Park Wildlife Refuge. After a delicious and extensive buffet breakfast, you will be transferred to Rio Frio (Cold River) where your boat will be slowly showing all the wildlife of Caño Negro National park wildlife refuge (Caymans, all kind of birds, monkeys, etc.). Don’t forget your camera! Free afternoon for you to relax around the pool, perhaps sipping a piña coloda around the yet bar!

DAY 3 – Arenal National Park. Buffet breakfast, and en route (driving direction explain by VSD guide) to the Hanging bridges of the rainforest of Arenal, only a few minutes away, where you will be walking on fixed & suspended bridges in the middle of the ecological National park of Arenal. Great place to learn about the ecological importance of this region, seeing more wildlife and hike for a few hours in a fresh and magical place! Afternoon at leisure!

DAY 4 – Arenal Volcano. Buffet breakfast and transfer to a guided hike to Arenal Volcano. You will be closer and have a better view of this majestic volcano. Your guide will explain all about the phenomenal and impressive volcano. The hike does not require high fitness level, it is very accessible through the National park (entrance fees included). Afternoon at leisure!

DAY 5 – La Fortuna Waterfall - Monteverde Cloud Forrest.  Buffet breakfast and check out. Leave your 4 x 4 at the resort as a private transfer have been arranged to the local stall where your horse is waiting for you. Horseback to the entrance of La Fortuna Waterfall (entrance fees is not included). Hike down the gorgeous path to this incredible and so romantic waterfall of La Fortuna. One of the best pictures from your trip in Costa Rica! Transfer back to the resort and drive to Monteverde. A special town located in the Cordillera of Tilarán with two Cloud Forest Reserves: “Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve” & “Santa Elena Reserve”. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is unique in that it is situated on both the Pacific & Atlantic slopes of the Continental Divide. The beauty of this location will be leaving you an unforgettable souvenir. Check in to our brand new 3*** Hotel. Luxury rooms, which occupation goes from singles to doubles, triples and quadruples (to be requested on reservation, surcharge for multiple occupation). Rooms: have a private bath with hot water shower, hair dryer, phone which is available for international calls, cable TV, DVD for watching the movies you rent at our own DVD shop, safe deposit box and very comfortable orthopedic beds. Also available on site: Fax and wireless internet with free use of laptops at the front desk. Amenities: Hot water pool and Jacuzzi hidden by the rich surrounding flora, children's pool, Jacuzzi, Wet bar, conference room and DTS 5.1 Theater (You can reserve it upon request at the front desk), 24 hours security and registered massage therapists and technicians will gladly comply with your request. DAY 6 – Monteverde Rain Forrest. Breakfast and after a short walk, you will be visiting “Rainario” where all the little colorful frogs of Costa Rica are ready for you to see, butterflies, snakes and more. (Entrance fee in not included). The entrance is a only a couple minutes walk from your room. Back to hotel and free afternoon! 

DAY 7 – Monteverde Town. Breakfast, and today is yours, Monteverde is a little town which has lots to offer, lots to visits. Millions of tourists are coming every year in order to visit Santa Elena rainforest, it is only a couple minutes drive from your hotel, we suggest for you to drive to the entrance of the National park and to hike hours in this magical place.

DAY 8 – Monteverde - San Jose. Breakfast and en route to San Jose airport where you will be dropping your 4 x 4 and catching your flight back home.

IMPORTANT: The drive is pleasant but it will take you approx. 6 ½ hours, so please DO NOT book a flight ticket which is leaving San Jose airport early in the morning, but more late in the afternoon or even better in the evening in order to have plenty time to drive back to the rental car office where a transfer will be arranged for dropping you off to the airport.

OPTION: You do not want to stress over? You want to enjoy the views and taking your time to drive to San Jose? We are giving our clients the option to purchase a “special extension” in order for you to spend an extra night in our 3*** Hotel in San Jose, close by the airport. If you decide to book this extension, please indicate in your reservation the following code: ECO + 1

EXTENSION COST: The cost for dropping off your vehicle to the rental car office on Day 8 (at the same time you pick it up) + transfer to your hotel + one (1) extra night with breakfast + transfer to airport the next day is *$98.00 (* Rate is for single person or for a couple), $25.00 for additional person.

VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL: Please do NOT forget to email info@vacationsuperdeals.com your flight information as soon as you have it, in order for VSD to arrange all your transfers. Missing information would be inflicting a no-show at the international airport of San Jose!
