A genuine San Antonio, Texas, treasure, The Historic Menger Hotel was originally built in 1859 and stands next door to The Alamo. The famed Riverwalk, the Children's Museum and the Buckhorn Museum are one block from the hotel. Within six blocks of the hotel are La Villita and Market Square. Chefs at the Colonial Room Restaurant prepare American regional cuisine in a white table cloth environment. The Menger Bar is a replica of London's House of Lords Pub with cherry paneling and glass cabinets. More than 11,000 square feet of flexible pre-function space is available throughout the hotel, including the Plaza Ballroom, poolside meeting rooms and a terrace overlooking the Menger Court. A Courtyard Garden looks out onto the outdoor pool and spa tub, offering light fare in a scenic and private environment. Poolside service is available here from on-site dining establishments.
