Located in the heart of Manhattan's historic Flatiron district, and but a few blocks away from the Empire State Building, the Gershwin Hotel is a superb jumping-off point for doing everything there is to do in New York, including sightseeing, museum-going, shopping, and nightclubbing. The lobby shines with original pop art, including an actual Campbell's soup can autographed by Andy Warhol, artistic Godfather to the hotel. At the front desk, the guest is welcomed by the friendly, young, multinational staff, who themselves boast a formidable array of languages. A multi-media complex unto itself, the hotel also includes an in-house cabaret, "the Living Room", which features live music, stand up comedy and theater performances several nights a week.  Also sharing the first floor, is an art gallery, that presents extraordinary exhibitions of work by significant international emerging and established artists, and a Grotto like bar, where guests can rap, commune, and relax. There is an ever-changing schedule of discussions, poetry slams, and the like. The corridors of the Gershwin literally shine with creativity.
