Dubrovnik, Croatia
This magnificent walled city on the blue Adriatic Sea is an architectual wonder. As a centuries-old trading center, it once rivaled the famed Venice. Today, its amazing history is reflected in its many monuments and museums. You'll find it exhilirating to explore the man-made treasures such as Old Town and the city's famous wall, but don't miss such natural pleasures as the nearby beaches.

Patmos, Greece
Patmos, a jewel of the Dodecanese archipelago, is a popular destination for international travellers. The island offers visitors a sea of breathtaking colours and charming bays, fringed with golden sandy beaches punctuated by craggy cliffs. Leros, according to mythology, was the home of Artemis, goddess of hunting. Dominated by the Franco-Byzantine castle, it is a natural paradise characterised by its green hills, rocky coastlines, deep gulfs and tranquil bays.

Alexandria, Egypt
Alexander the Great's timeless city is the portal to Cairo and its many wonders: the Egytpian Museum of Antiquities, with the treasures of royal tombs and mummies of their former inhabitants, as well as King Tut's stunning turquoise and gold death mask. Not far away are the enigmatic Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Cheops, and just across the desert lies the step Pyramid of Sakarra, thought by many to be oldest free-standing structure in the world.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Ephesus, not far from the port at Kusadasi, is home to the one remaining pillar from the Temple of Artemis—an Ancient Wonder of the World. Marble streets lead past magnificent ruins of temples and baths, and the Celsus Library. Don't miss the amphitheater where St Paul preached to the Ephesians. Roman ruins are also on display at Pirea and Didyma.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece
