Itinerary Map
Ports of Call
Southampton, EnglandSouthampton is a city and major port situated on the south coast of England. It is the closest city to the New Forest, situated approximately halfway between Portsmouth and Bournemouth. Southampton lies at the northern-most point of Southampton Water where it is joined by the River Test and River Itchen, with the River Hamble joining to the south of the urban area. The city represents the core of the Greater Southampton region. A resident of Southampton is called a Sotonian.
St. Peter Port, Channel Islands, UK
Cobh (Cork), Ireland
The River Lee runs through Cobh (pronounced Cove), past colorful Victorian quays, neo-Gothic St Finbarre's Cathedral and the lively English Market, then winds through farm and woodland to Blarney Castle and its legendary stone, which you must kiss in order to receive the gift of the gab.
Dublin, Ireland
Dublin, the fair city, invites you to wander the streets trod by Joyce, Yeats and Oscar Wilde. Drop in at pubs with mahogany bars and stained glass. In the Trinity College Library, feast your eyes on the illuminated 9th-century Book of Kells. Sample the stout at Guinness Brewery. Shopping's a dream—from a souvenir shillelagh to Waterford crystal.
Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland
Invergordon, Scotland
The skirl of Highland bagpipes calls you ashore. Go in search of your clan tartan, and "Nessie," the spurious monster often sighted in Loch Ness.
Paris (Le Havre), France
Tour from the port to the beaches of Normandy, moving reminders of D-Day landings. Or take off for a day in Paris and view the City of Light from the Eiffel Tower or a Seine cruise.
Reykjavik, Iceland
See dramatic evidence of Iceland's volcanic origins: geysers, hotsprings, vast fields of cooled lava. Swim in the naturally-warmed Blue Lagoon.
Qaqortoq, Greenland
On the southern coast you will find Qaqortoq, the only part of Greenland that really is green and not covered with a 5,000-foot-thick sheet of ice, and learn how people survive on this immense, remote island administered by the Danes but desperate for individual recognition of its distinctive culture.
St. John's, NF, Canada
At the easternmost gateway to North America, come ashore in the snug, landlocked harbor to discover a land the Norsemen visited five centuries before Columbus. See fishing villages perched on cliffs, visit the lovely Botanical Gardens.
