During your stay at The Windjammer, explore lighthouses and historic shipwrecks along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Bird-watching, fishing, shelling, and boating will fill your days. Lands of the Outer Banks are constantly shifted by wind and waves, forming the huge dunes common to the area. Because of these conditions, Jockey's Ridge State Park has become a popular spot for hang gliding. Other area attractions include the Wright Brothers National Memorial, Roanoke Island (site of the first English colony), and the Elizabethan Gardens.

Clean, spacious and comfortable, each
air-conditioned Windjammer unit has a
phone, a fully equipped kitchen with
microwave, and satellite TV with HBO.
Enjoy breathtaking ocean views from your
balcony. Laundry facilities are on-site.
No elevator. No pets are allowed. All
units are 2BR units OCC: Max 6/Pri 4 with
1.5 baths, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and 1
sleep sofa. Organized recreational
activities are not available; however
fishing, shelling, walks on the beach,
swimming (in-season), and bird watching
can be enjoyed right on the premises.
Pool is open May through mid October.
There are many stairs to each unit. A
US$100 deposit is required at check-in
and is returned 7 days after check-out.
No motorhomes or campers are allowed.
Resort is older, units are very basic.
Friendly and helpful staff. Additional
information on area activities can be
provided upon request by the resort. A
car is recommended to fully enjoy the
area.
