The Best of Hawaii from the Hawaii Specialist

Extraordinarily beautiful and impossibly romantic, Hawaii posses some of the most exotic landscapes on earth. From lush tropical rainforests to black lava deserts, towering mountains to fiery volcanoes, jewel-toned beaches to miles of green taro fields and glittering cities to Diamond Head Crater, this is a living paradise. And you'll want to see it all.

Honolulu, Oahu
Combine the languid allure of the tropics with big-city sophistication, then add the spirit of aloha, and you've got Honolulu. This Pacific crossroads features museums, dazzling beaches, historic Pearl Harbor and spectacular sunrises over Diamond Head. Gardenias and jasmine blanket the air with a heady fragrance, and pink sunsets cast a magical glow over fabled Waikiki Beach.

Kahului, Maui
Step ashore to white sandy beaches, swaying palms, and Hawaii's turbulent history: a saga of Maui chiefs, covetous whalers and self-righteous missionaries. Once the seat of power for the Hawaiian monarchy, Lahaina became a drowsy sugar town and missionary stronghold after the capital was moved to Honolulu in 1845.

Kona, Hawaii
Set on the western coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, Kona is warm and sunny year-round, offering spectacular sunsets, numerous historic sites, abundant wildlife and marine treasures. Kona is a great place to visit the ancient Hawaiian Place of Refuge, take a walk in a cloud forest or join a snorkeling excursion to one of the crystal-clear lagoons sheltered by coral reefs where manta rays and rare tropical marine life abound.

Nawiliwili, Kauai
On the sacred "Garden Island" the sweet smell of mokihana berries permeates the air and the lush green landscape intoxicates the senses. At Waimea Canyon, the union of water, sunshine, clouds and canyon walls creates the most colorful rainbows imaginable. This is where native Hawaiians come for the scenery.
